Out of hours district nursing
The out of hours district nursing service is based at North Tyneside General Hospital and operates between 5.00pm and 8.00am. The district nurses provide two types of service:
- They visit and provide nursing care to patients in a community setting: at nursing homes, residential care homes and individual patients homes
- They also provide a clinic service for planned care (e.g. routine blood sampling, dressings) at North Tyneside General Hospital
